Peak - Brain Training App Reviews

I enjoy the games but with this new version, my iPad is freezing and I had to shut it down and restart to unfreeze the app.

In the word pairs game..."annoy" and "irritate" dont have a similar meaning? They are synonyms. Ive found other errors as well. I dont really trust the "science" or the reporting of the app if you cant get the test questions right.

Worked well on my iPad for a few weeks, now I cant open it anymore. Deleted and reinstalled, but the issue persists. Pretty disappointing.

Ever since the app has updated, I open the app to see that I already have points for the day, even if I havent played. Then, when I close the app and come back, it says that I havent completed my daily goal. It also keeps restarting my streak number. Its really frustrating to see that, especially because I really liked the app before. -__-

Ive been playing this for a while and its ok I guess but I dont think Ive a gained one single thing from it. I decided to delete it bc it got to the point where I had to pay money weekly or monthly for "peak pro" and get more games. srsly? like Im going to pay money regularly for something like this. tbh I wouldnt recommend unless u r totally fine with paying a ton of money

This game is very good and I have been using it for s while now but it is annoying why you can complete your workout with out the pro version.But one way I found around this is, replay the other games and get. Higher score to complete your workout. Besides that is fine this app amazing.

The games are clever at times, and I like most of them. Some of the word games are vexing because the game is obeying strict rules while the use of language is fluid and creative. Ive found that there is a ceiling to the use of the app without paying, and a subscription service seems pretty ridiculous for something like this. I might purchase the app, but certainly not subscribe.

I would have given this game five stars, but with the new upgrade came pop ups for others games and you lost a star!!!

It misses points and adds them to other days; said I had 500 points after my first game. Please fix!

4.99 a month no thank you

Despite some of the recent bad reviews, I find the app, games and scores interesting. I signed up for one of the paid special memory tests and while I believe it is accurate in its measurement, I believe it would have been better if it took into consideration color blindness. Other than that I find the app very helpful in measuring brain attributes.

I really enjoy the games and the target areas this brain training app measures. Even the free version is satisfying! However, the sound doesnt always work well. Its almost as if it cant keep up with gameplay and just doesnt sound when that happens. Alongside, twice over the past two weeks has my completed workout (and matching my goal) been moved over to the next day, making it seem like I missed a day when I didnt! Other than that, I really enjoy it. Instructions are clear and everything is enjoyable.

Anything requiring monthly payments for a premium feature was clearly inefficiently made and needs to scam customers to turn a profit. What was it? $80 for the games permanently? I wouldnt pay more than $3. Deleting for this absolute ridiculousness.

I love this game! The only problem with the current version is that twice, when I started to play for a new day it added the previous days points to the new day and said that I hadnt played at all the day before

This is NOT a free app - after you create an account (required) and do the tutorial it tells you that you can play more games if you buy the pro edition. Otherwise you only get a small number of games to play.

My mental agility is definitely better since using this app for about a month. I read someone say they got a bug from downloading this app but I did not ever have any of those issues. Quite fun and as you work your way higher into the levels, its quite challenging!

Games arent much of a challenge. The progress screen is far too busy. Itll also tell me Ive finished a "workout" and met my "goal" but then if I just go back to play some games it goes back to looking incomplete. Needs lots of stream-lining and to really clear up the clutter.

This recent update in May 2016 is horrible! You play the games and meet goals for the day and yet you dont get scores. They end up in the next day!! Really now?? The most frustrating app I have. In addition, scoring is really unpredictable. You do well but get a low score. You have an error maybe two and suddenly you have a new best score. Cant figure it out. The elephant game...just get rid of it. Useless, boring and a reason to stop playing. Movement is unpredictable and only related to luck if words line up and you dont have to wait. Get rid of happy river!! The NEW jump as well. Crashes all the time now since the update in January 2016.

If you are paying or playing this game to get smarter, stop. The pseudoscience claims are nonsensical and are rich in hype and poor in evidence and data. Evidence strongly suggests that any improvement is applicable to the specific task but has no generalised benefit; you might become great at Must Sort, but the improvement will neither do you good elsewhere nor make you smarter. I resent the dishonest and overhyped pseudoscience, but the games in themselves can be fun.

Not enough good can be said about how stellar the ui & ue of Peak games. However, it seems the team is hasty to rollout updates w/out sufficient testing. Contacted support about the Babble Bots Dic. "Done" button being replaced w/ Manage & Search links. As a result of these "feature", one must exit the game to get out of dictionary mode AND the game resets the daily peak points to zero. lol Support said to use the "Done" button - do they even play their own games? Because done is gone.
